Restaurant Review: Crave Pt.2

Hey Whiskers,
My friend Elizabeth wanted to try out Crave in Jerusalem before she left back to the states, so we went together and got a few dishes to share and try. These are my thoughts about the Kosher take on a classic joint with some new flavors. All of the opinions are mine alone, we paid for this meal just like everyone else. I have written what I would do differently in another font connected to each item. Firstly before we get to the food, the service was great I called and facebook messaged them regarding wheelchair accessibility and was impressed with the American like response, of it actually being important. The entrance is completely accessible and the tables are high enough without being too high for a comfortable sitting. I loved the reusable glass looking plastic water bottles we were given. The vibe is NorCal diner/bistro combination. The service was great and when I asked for the recipe for the pickled onions which were my favorite part of the meal, the waiter asked the chef and got the recipe for me. Here are the opinions on the dishes we tried, the words in a different font were my ideas for changing things slightly to make the dish better in my opinion.
Until next time.
Sam

Dish 1--3 Tacos: Fish, Beef, Chicken
(pickled onions on top were amazing)
fish 9/10
-taco was too thick, I felt the balance was off from the fish, slaw, to the taco.
-crunch was amazing on the fish and the entire bite.
-the balance of the slaw between sweet and sour was perfect.
beef 8/10
-The beef was well spiced
-The taco bite was slightly dry, could have used avocado/sauce
chicken 7/10
-The chicken was moist and tender
-The chicken flavor got lost in the taco with the avocado and onions
-did NOT need avocado

Dish 2- Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders 7.5/10
-The bun was awful, soggy and dry, flavorless-- I would use a pretzel bun
-The burger was perfectly cooked to medium rare
-The bacon got lost in the fat of the cheese and bacon-- Remove the cheese and add more pickled onions

Dish 3-Wings 9/10
-crispy batter
-very salty the salt took over some of the chicken flavors.
-perfectly cooked super juicy and tender meat inside
-two sauces
1.red sauce 5/10 was like a roasted pepper sauce, that thought about being spicy but couldn't commit there was no clear flavor and it had a bitter aftertaste. It didn't enhance the wings at all.
2. green sauce 10/10 had the perfect tangy bite, a flavor which at first I thought was kiwi, albeit influenced by the black seeds(not sure what they are) inside. Had the perfect balance of sweet and sour and cut through the saltiness of the wing perfectly. Honestly, I want to sit in a lab until I can recreate the sauce at home.
